Hello everyone! Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Thursday, February 22nd, 2024.

Well, we’ve got one more quiet day of weather lying ahead before a brief round of rain on Friday.

Temperatures on Thursday will start in the upper 30s, still running a little below normal for this point in February, but will warm to the mid to upper 60s in the afternoon as southerly flow moderates the air mass a little bit more.

Start the day on the clear side, but clouds will gradually increase ahead of a cold front that will affect the area on Friday, with the first shower chances in a few days.

Friday will represent the best chance of rain over the next few days.

Scattered and numerous showers will accompany the aforementioned cold front, particularly in the morning through early afternoon, before clearing the area later Friday night.

Temperatures are going to start in the low to mid 50s, about as warm as we’ve been all week, warming to around 70 degrees in the afternoon despite the showers in the area.

Now Friday’s front will clear out in time for Saturday.

Start the day in the mid 40s, warming to the mid 60s in the afternoon under mostly sunny skies, before a second front moves by Saturday evening.

That front will kick up some more cloud cover, and there’s an outside shot it could come with a shower or two, but the vast majority of us should stay dry.

In the wake of that front, Sunday starts out even cooler, with lows in the upper 30s yielding the highs to the low to mid 60s in the afternoon under mostly sunny skies.

The cool air doesn’t last though.

High pressure is going to quickly head offshore, and by Monday we’re back in the 70s, with temperatures turning towards the upper 70s to around 80 degrees by midweek next week.

Much warmer than normal to close out February, and for that matter, climatological winter.

And that was Charleston Weather Daily for February 22nd, 2024.
