Hello everyone! Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Friday, February 16th, 2024 and the upcoming weekend.

We have one more day of 70s on Friday before a brief cool down arrives on Saturday and especially on Sunday thanks to a cold front moving by.

Temperatures on Friday start in the upper 40s before warming to the low 70s despite mostly cloudy skies as moisture aloft increases.

Saturday will feature a shower chance, albeit a low one as much of the low level moisture remains to our south.

We’ll get off to a warm start by mid-February standards as lows bottom out just in the low 50s.

Temperatures will warm to the mid 60s in the afternoon before the cold front moves through later in the day.

Don’t expect much in the way of sun as cloud cover should hold steadfast throughout the day.

If we see some showers, they’ll be on the light side and are most likely to occur in the afternoon into the early evening, but we could also stay rain free.

Cooler air moves into the area behind the front overnight Saturday, and we’ll wake up to low 40s on Sunday morning.

Temperatures on Sunday only reach the mid 50s as cloud cover slowly breaks up, allowing some peaks of sun throughout the day, but not much more than that.

Clearing in earnest will begin overnight Sunday into Monday, and we should have a pretty tranquil start to next week as high pressure moves back in and warms us back up.
