Friday & the weekend: Warmer than normal temperatures with rain chances holding off until Sunday afternoon
Hello everyone, Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Friday, February 9th, 2024, and the upcoming weekend.
We return to the 70s on Friday as high pressure continues to slip offshore.
The day starts in the mid-40s before topping out right around 70 degrees in the afternoon despite somewhat limited sunshine under mostly cloudy skies.
Saturday is a warmer version of Friday.
We’ll keep a solid mix of clouds and sun in place, but temperatures starting in the low 50s will head to the mid-70s in the afternoon.
Sunday starts even warmer, with lows in the upper 50s to around 60 degrees, much closer to the normal high than the normal low for this point in the year, as temperatures warm back to the mid-70s in the afternoon.
Shower chances do return to the forecast beginning Sunday afternoon as the next storm system affects the area, with the bulk of the rain falling Monday.
And by Tuesday, the system clears the area and our temperatures return to more seasonally appropriate levels for mid-February.
And that was Charleston Weather Daily for February 9th, 2024.
