Hello everyone, Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Wednesday, February 7th, 2024.

We’re off to another quite chilly start on Wednesday, likely the coldest of the week, but warmth will return for the end of the week.

Temperatures Wednesday morning will bottom out in the low to mid-30s, but the wind chill will feel closer to the mid-20s.

Layer up in the morning, but you’ll probably be able to lose one by afternoon as winds diminish, finally, and temperatures head to around 60 degrees under clear and sunny skies.

We may run into some minor coastal flooding issues early Wednesday morning as the remnant tidal departures from this past weekend’s storm could help water levels get over flood stage around the 533am high tide.

Departures the past couple mornings have thankfully run lower than expected, and it is possible that Wednesday’s tide forecast could be revised further downward with subsequent updates overnight.

Still, be ready for a flutter to close road or two if your early commute takes you downtown.

After we start Thursday in the mid-30s, we’ll start to feel a bit of a warming trend as high pressure moves overhead and eventually offshore.

Temperatures Thursday afternoon peak in the low to mid-60s with a few more clouds dotting the skies.

Clouds continue to increase heading into Friday, but this won’t have much of an effect on temperatures as warmer air pumps into the area, sending highs to the low 70s on Friday afternoon.

Rain holds off through much of Saturday, with shower chances increasing beginning late Saturday into Sunday as the next cold front closes in.
