Hello everyone! Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Friday, February 2nd, 2024 and the rest of the upcoming weekend.

Got a couple quiet and generally pleasant weather days ahead before the next storm system starts to show itself later Sunday.

Friday starts around 40 degrees before warming to the upper 60s in the afternoon under decreasingly cloudy skies.

Front passes through overnight Friday into Saturday, but we’re not going to notice it outside from Saturday running a few degrees cooler than Friday did.

Otherwise expect abundant sunshine and an overall nice day to get out and about.

The weather will start to turn on Sunday as the storm system advances eastward along the Gulf Coast.

We’ll see cloud cover increased along with northeasterly winds starting to come up as well as the advancing low pressure butts up against high pressure to the north.

We’re caught in the pinch gradient as a result, and this will make for a breezy afternoon and evening.

Rain will be approaching from the south, but it should hold off until after sunset.

Looking ahead to Monday, it looks like a windy and occasionally soggy day as the low makes its closest approach, and we’ll want to watch model trends for potential tidal flooding early Monday morning that has a chance to coincide with some heavier rain.

Confidence in this panning out isn’t terribly high yet, but it’s something to keep an eye on as guidance has been fairly consistent in a heavy band of rain pivoting somewhere off the Carolina coast and towards land over the last few days.

A lot depends on the track of the low, so stay tuned to forecast updates as we head towards Monday for possible commute disruptions.

The good news is that after Monday, we should quiet down for much of the rest of the week.

And that was Charleston Weather Daily for February 2nd, 2024.
