Hello everyone! Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Tuesday, January 30th, 2024, and a look at the rest of the workweek.

Tuesday will be a quiet and seasonable day of weather across the Lowcountry as high pressure hangs around for one more day.

Temperatures on Tuesday will start a little cooler than they did on Monday, with mid-30s possible across the metro and away from the locally warmer coastline.

A lingering breeze will make that feel a few degrees cooler too, but temperatures will rebound nicely though, heading into the low to mid-60s in the afternoon under mostly sunny skies.

An upper low will rumble towards the area late Tuesday into Wednesday, instigating surface low pressure that will drive a diffuse front through the area on Wednesday morning.

This will cause an uptick in cloud cover for a good bit of Wednesday along with a risk for a shower or two, especially in the morning, but moisture return doesn’t look impressive at all though, so don’t expect much in the way of rainfall.

Showers will be relatively short-lived as winds go northwesterly in the afternoon, drying us out and cooling us off.

Highs on Wednesday should peak around 60 degrees thanks to the upper low and cooler air blowing in during the afternoon.

Mostly sunny skies return Thursday as high pressure comes back around for a few days.

Expect an upper 30s start to yield to highs in the low 60s once again with a light northwest breeze.

Friday is Groundhog Day, and if we’re going to be caught in a temporal loop, at least the weather is going to be good.

We start the day in the low 40s and warm to the mid to upper 60s in the afternoon under partly cloudy skies.

Not too shabby for the annual run of the Groundhog forecast system.

And that was Charleston Weather Daily for January 30th, 2024.
