Hello everyone, Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Tuesday, December 12th, 2023.

We have another chilly but sunny day ahead on Tuesday.

The day starts in the mid-30s, so make sure you’ve got your pets inside, and cover your plants too if you haven’t already brought them in for the season.

We warm to just the mid to upper 50s in the afternoon despite mostly sunny skies, so keep the jackets handy.

This is going to be several degrees below normal.

The normal high for December 12th is 63.

And we’re going to stay on the cool side of normal heading into the rest of the work week.

Wednesday will feature an uptick in cloud cover, but temperatures will also be a few degrees warmer, and expect to warm to the low 60s in the afternoon.

This relative warmth will be short-lived though, as a reinforcing front swings through early Thursday.

Thursday will be on the breezy side, as cool air moves in behind the front, and highs will top out only in the mid-50s despite generally decreasing clouds.

Friday will be another mostly sunny but chilly day, with lows in the mid-30s yielding to highs in the upper 50s in the afternoon.

The weekend forecast still could feature some rain, particularly on Sunday, but the extent of this is difficult to discern thanks to some model differences in how a storm system in the Gulf develops.

So stay tuned to forecast updates as the models figure out their disagreement.

We’ll have more for you as the week goes on.

That was Charleston Weather Daily for December 12th, 2023.
