Hello everyone, Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather weekend forecast for Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 and Sunday, December 3rd, 2023.

It won’t be the best weekend for parades and other outdoor activities, but it won’t be the worst either.

Overcast looks to prevail on Saturday as plentiful moisture works into the area, and we’ll see some showers at times.

Models seem to suggest that a thunderstorm complex moving across the Gulf Coast states during the day Saturday may rob some of the moisture transport in our neck of the woods, and that could reduce the intensity and frequency of some of the showers.

Fingers crossed.

We’ll see how this turns out, but any abatement would be good.

Temperatures will certainly not be in the holiday spirit, with lows in the low to mid-sixties followed by highs in the mid-seventies.

Keep in mind that the normal high for early December is 67 degrees, and our lows are not going to be far from that.

We’ll keep the overcast for Sunday, with periods of showers once again possible ahead of a front that’ll be approaching the area throughout the day.

Showers will be of the off and on variety, so it won’t rain all the time, but you’re still going to want the rain gear for much of the day.

Temperatures will once again top out in the mid-seventies in the afternoon after another unseasonably warm start in the low sixties.

The front looks to get through overnight Sunday into Monday, and that will scour out cloud cover and bring temperatures back below climatology next week.

And that was Charleston Weather Daily for December 2nd, 2023.
