Hello everyone, Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Friday, December 1st, 2023 and the upcoming weekend.

Meteorological winter begins on Friday with a return to the 70s as warmer and more humid air moves back into the area ahead of a trough.

Along with that warmer and more moist air will come some shower chances, but we start Friday rain free and in the upper 40s before warming to the mid 70s in the afternoon.

Isolated to scattered showers are possible from lunchtime and beyond, with rain chances ramping up a bit as we get into the evening and especially into Saturday.

Non-raw showers will be the rule for Saturday as plentiful moisture near December 1st climatological maximums continues to stream into the area with a stalled front to our north and favorable upper level conditions in place.

Rain on Saturday could be significant, with over an inch possible in some spots.

Temperatures on Saturday will certainly not feel like early December, with highs in the mid 70s following a low 60s start.

Put that in perspective, low 60s were our highs for the first part of this week.

Sunday looks to be similar ahead of a cold front and expect more in the way of showers across the area throughout the day.

We get off to another very warm start on Sunday, with lows around 60 degrees before warming into the mid 70s in the afternoon.

The aforementioned front then gets through Sunday night into Monday, scouring out showers and sending high temperatures back below normal by Tuesday as high pressure builds back in.

And that was Charleston Weather Daily for December 1st, 2023.
