Hello everyone! Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Tuesday, November 28th, 2023.

Get ready for a stretch of chilly weather over the next few days as high pressure settles in across the area.

Tuesday will start in the mid-30s, and when you factor in the wind, temperatures will feel closer to freezing.

We’ll get off to a bit of a cloudy start, but clouds will diminish as we get through the day, and we should end on a mostly sunny note.

Still, temperatures will struggle through the mid-to-upper 50s despite the sunshine as north and northwesterly winds continue to blow chilly air into the area.

It looks probable that the growing season will come to an end Wednesday morning as temperatures should fall below freezing for a few hours away from the coast.

Expect lows ranging from the upper 20s inland of 17A to the low 30s in the metro.

Areas east of Highway 17 to the beaches should narrowly escape freezing temperatures, but some frost will still be possible.

Bring in those sensitive plants and make sure your pets have a warm place to be as well.

Highs on Wednesday will max out in the mid-50s despite full sunshine as high pressure settles in right overhead.

Thursday will get off to another chilly start, though freezing temperatures look to stay a little further inland this go-around.

Still, lows around the metro will bottom out in the mid-30s, while areas along and inland of 17A can expect a brief dip into freezing territory once more.

A warming trend will begin Thursday afternoon, though, as high pressure slips offshore allowing some warmer air to start to move back in.

Highs on Thursday top out in the low 60s under partly cloudy skies.

By Friday, we’re back in the 70s, though this comes at the cost of the reintroduction of shower chances into the forecast as disturbances aloft interact with increasing moisture at the surface.

Expect shower chances to tick up Friday afternoon and into the evening, persisting into the weekend and even into early next week.

But at least the 70s will hang around, too.

And that was Charleston Weather Daily for November 28th, 2023.
