Hello everyone, Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23rd, 2023, with a look at Black Friday and the upcoming weekend as well.

After some beneficial rain fell Tuesday and Wednesday, we get Thursday to dry out in the wake of a cold front.

It will feel much cooler than the previous few days have felt, as we’ll start Thanksgiving in the low 40s before warming to the low 60s in the afternoon.

There should be plenty of sunshine as well, though clouds will be increasing later in the day ahead of a disturbance.

That aforementioned disturbance could bring some showers to the area for Friday morning, but those showers should be generally light in nature and look to depart by the afternoon.

We’ll start again in the mid 40s or so, warming to the low 60s in the afternoon under mostly cloudy skies.

We should see a few breaks in the clouds towards the end of the day, but be prepared for more overcast skies than not.

We stay dry over the weekend with a mix of sun and clouds persisting.

Lows will continue to run in the low to mid 40s, while high temperatures will still be on the cool side of normal in the low 60s each afternoon.

The only concern will be the risk for coastal flooding with the morning high tides beginning Saturday, as northeasterly winds and the upcoming full moon combine to drive water levels over flood stage.

High tide on Saturday morning will be close to 6am, while it will be 646am on Sunday, and any flooding that occurs should be generally minor in nature, primarily affecting vulnerable locations in downtown Charleston.

Stay tuned for possible coastal flood advisories from the National Weather Service.

It’s going to let you know when the potential for any saltwater incursion on the roads will be highest.

And that was Charleston Weather Daily for November 23rd, 2023.
