Wednesday's forecast: Rain in the morning leads to a cooldown for Thanksgiving and beyond
Hello everyone, Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023, and looking ahead towards Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
Showers and thunderstorms will return ahead of a cold front early Wednesday morning with the heaviest precipitation continuing through about midday.
Severe weather is not really a concern given limited instability, though a few pockets of gusty wind can’t be totally ruled out.
Temperatures will be warmer than normal for one more day, with a low 60s start yielding to highs around 70-71 in the afternoon.
The aforementioned cold front will cross the area late Wednesday, and by Thursday morning will be waking up to lows in the mid 40s.
Highs will only top out in the low 60s, likely not even reaching Wednesday morning’s low temperature.
Still, it’s going to feel like Thanksgiving Day should feel, with partly cloudy skies throughout.
We’ll stay on the cool side of normal for Black Friday, with highs only topping out in the low 60s once again.
Another weaker disturbance will swing through Friday afternoon and evening, bringing another round of showers to the area, but those showers will be fairly transient and not terribly heavy.
Looking towards the weekend, we should see the showers depart by Saturday morning, and while cloud cover will hang around this weekend, we should stay rain free with lows in the upper 40s and highs generally running in the mid 60s each day.
And that was Charleston Weather Daily for November 22nd, 2023.
