Hello everyone, Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Tuesday, November 21st, 2023, along with a peek at the Thanksgiving holiday forecast.

Showers have returned to the area and should figure somewhat prominently in Tuesday’s forecast.

It’ll be a warm day, lows will bottom out in the low 60s, and temperatures will warm to the mid 70s in the afternoon.

On and off showers will be possible throughout the day, but as the cold front draws closer later on Tuesday, rain chances will tick up even further.

We could even hear some rumbles of thunder overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning, though it does not appear that severe weather will be an issue right now.

Wednesday morning, as mentioned, will be a fairly rough go if you’re looking to get underway for any Thanksgiving travel as showers and a few thunderstorms will be moving through as we wake up.

Rain will taper as we get into the afternoon, though, and by evening the front should be through, ending rainfall and starting to bring in cooler and drier air for Thanksgiving.

And Thanksgiving’s looking good, and it’s going to feel seasonally appropriate.

We’ll start the day in the mid 40s and warm to the mid 60s under partly cloudy skies.

Friday’s going to feature similar temperatures as another disturbance moves through with a few showers at times, but it won’t be a Black Friday rainout either.

The disturbance will exit the area early Saturday, and the weekend is otherwise looking pretty good if not a little more cloudy than we might like, but generally expect temperatures hovering right in those mid 60s each afternoon.

There are a couple areas in the tropics of interest to the National Hurricane Center, but none of them are going to pose any concern for the Lowcountry.

The first is an area in the Caribbean that has a very low chance of developing as it drifts westward toward Central America.

And the second is a low pressure system near Bermuda that, as it moves southeastward over the next few days, has a decent shot at developing some tropical characteristics as it gets over some warmer water.

So we may yet get vents after all, but it won’t be anything more than a curiosity for us here at home.
