Hello everyone, Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Thursday, November 9th, 2023.

We’ve got a couple more warm days left before a cool-down takes hold for the weekend into next week.

After narrowly missing the record high on Wednesday, we’ll head back into the low 80s on Thursday afternoon after a mid-50s start.

We’ll see a few more clouds in the sky, but there should still be plenty of sunshine to be had.

Try to enjoy it, because clouds will be increasing on Friday ahead of a cold front, but even still, Friday’s highs should top out in the low 80s one more time.

Once the front gets by late Friday into early Saturday, we’ll start to see cool high pressure wedge southward into the area, and you’ll definitely be feeling it as highs top out only in the low 60s on Saturday.

A few showers will be possible as well, but the greater shower risk arrives on Sunday as the disturbance moves by.

Plenty of cloud cover and scattered and numerous showers, particularly Sunday afternoon into the evening, will keep highs suppressed to the mid-50s.

We do need the rain, and it does look like spots we’ll see generally between a quarter and a half inch, with locally higher and lower amounts.

There is also a small chance we could deal with some coastal flooding at times starting Sunday into early next week as northeast winds turn gusty at times, driving up tidal departures.

We’ll keep an eye on it, but right now it doesn’t look like it’s going to be anything too terribly disruptive.

Stay tuned.

We’ll start to dry out as we start the new work week, though temperatures will remain below normal through at least Wednesday.
