Wednesday's forecast: Chilly start, but a warming trend commences
Hello everyone! Jarrett Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Wednesday, October 18th, 2023.
Wednesday may get off to the coolest start since April 18th if the forecast low of 45 degrees verifies, but we’ll be warming from there though.
Expect highs on Wednesday to top out in the low 70s once again under mostly sunny skies.
Thursday gets off to a warmer start as a little more humid air begins to work back into the area ahead of a front.
We’ll start Thursday in the low 50s and warm to the mid 70s under partly cloudy skies.
Clouds will continue to be on the increase on Friday, with scattered showers expected later in the afternoon into the evening ahead of the aforementioned cold front.
Temperatures Friday rise into the mid 70s before showers arrive.
We’re not expecting too much to write home about with this one, generally speaking expect a tenth to a quarter inch of rain or so with this front.
From there a gorgeous weekend awaits, with plenty of sunshine and seasonable temperatures.
Expect lows in the low 50s each morning, with highs in the low 70s each afternoon.
That’s the status quo in the tropics this evening, no new active cyclones as of this recording.
Invest 94L remains a loosely at best organized clump of convection, but it remains on track to become our next depression, with an 80% chance to do just that in the next few days.
Guidance remains steadfast in a recurvature scenario with 94L, keeping it well away from the United States mainland.
Bottom line, no tropical concerns for us here in the low country.
Keep calm and cow on.
And that was Charleston Weather Daily for October 18th, 2023.
