Hello everyone! Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Tuesday, October 17th, 2023.

After a little mid-level energy moves by overnight with some clouds and maybe even a few showers.

Skies will clear in plenty of time to allow Tuesday to start in the upper 40s away from the coast.

From there, northerly winds will keep things on the cool side as temperatures only get up to the upper 60s under mostly sunny skies.

Overall, it’ll turn into a rather comfortable day across the Lowcountry, though you may want some long sleeves for a little while.

Temperatures start to turn a little warmer on Wednesday as the mid-level trough weakens, though we still start the day in the upper 40s before heading to the low 70s in the afternoon.

Thursday runs a few degrees warmer, with a low 50s start and a mid-70s afternoon ahead under partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies.

Cold front will then approach the area on Friday, and that could help stir up some scattered afternoon and evening showers.

Temperatures will once again top out in the mid-70s.

And after that front gets through, it’s going to set us up for another nice weekend of weather with mostly sunny skies and low to mid-70s generally than warm.

Out in the tropics, we’re mostly quiet.

There are no active tropical cyclones after Shawn dissipated last night.

NVest 94L continues to look like our probable next depression, but indications remain that it’ll recurve well away from our neck of the woods, and there’s nothing for us to worry about out there in the old tropics.

And that was Charleston Weather Daily for October 17th, 2023.

I’m Jared Smith.
