Hello everyone, Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Monday, October 16th, 2023, and a look at your week ahead.

And yes, we’re back! Feeling a lot better.

So we’re back in the swing of things here in podcast land, and just in time for a light taste of sweater weather to arrive for Monday and Tuesday.

We’ll start Monday in the mid-50s, with highs only topping out in the upper 60s in the afternoon, with clouds generally on the decrease as the trough moves on by.

Tuesday will run even cooler, with upper 40s to start and upper 60s in the afternoon, despite even more sunshine.

We begin a slight warming trend on Wednesday, with highs in the low 70s in the afternoon after another upper 40s start.

Thursday runs another click warmer, with lows in the mid-50s yielding to highs in the mid-70s under partly cloudy skies ahead of a cold front.

The aforementioned front brings a chance of rain on Friday, and it’s really the only chance of rain we’re going to have this week.

Generally expect some scattered showers into the afternoon and evening hours, but really nothing too crazy.

A modest cool-down will follow for the weekend, but it looks excellent, with lows in the 50s and highs in the low 70s each afternoon with plenty of sun.

The tropics continue to show a little activity a little further east than we might expect at this point in the year.

Tropical Depression Sean, which has been struggling for much of its life as a tropical cyclone, will likely wind down over the next day, and meanwhile another area tagged as InVest 94L looks to have a shot at developing over the next few days as it moves westward towards the lesser Antilles.

The consensus in guidance right now is for it to turn northward well away from the United States, so there are no weather concerns for us from this disturbance here in the Lowcountry.

And that was Charleston Weather Daily for October 16th, 2023.
