Hey everybody, Jared Smith here with the Charleston weather forecast for Labor Day weekend.

And boy does it look amazing.

I mean, I don’t know if we could have drawn this up any better.

Highs in the mid 80s Saturday and Sunday, going to get towards 90 on Monday, but that just makes it a better beach day.

Reasonable humidity, not too low to require a bunch of chapstick, not too high to where you step outside and need a shower.

Just right, Goldilocks warmth as we would call it.

Beautiful blue sunny skies, few clouds from time to time, but nothing too crazy.

Really just, you could not have asked for a better Labor Day weekend forecast, especially on the heels of Edalia.

The only weather concern that we’re going to have over the weekend is really the potential for tidal flooding at times of high tide.

Nothing too crazy, minor flooding 7.1 to 7.3 feet generally speaking, could close a few roads and parts of downtown, but overall not looking for any widespread issues, especially without any rainfall.

So just keep an ear out for coastal flood advisories from the National Weather Service, and that’ll let you know when the risk for closed roads is highest.

All in all though, I hope everybody gets out and enjoys it, I know I’m going to, and in related news, a quick programming note, I’m going to take the weekend off from the podcast, so I’ll talk to you again on Monday evening.

And this has been Charleston Weather Daily for September 1st, 2023.
