Weekend forecast: Fairly standard first weekend of August
Hello everyone, Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Saturday, August 5th, 2023.
We have a fairly typical first weekend of August coming up, more weather-wise, anyway.
We’ll start Saturday in the mid-70s, and highs will peak in the low 90s in the afternoon.
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible on the sea breeze, but it’s worth noting that guidance is trending drier across the Charleston area for Saturday.
It’s quite possible some or even many of you may not even see a raindrop, and after kind of a soggy Friday, that’s not the worst thing in the world.
But if you’re one of those who do see a raindrop, though, just be ready to bring those outdoor activities inside.
Rinse and repeat for Sunday, except at a couple degrees of the afternoon high.
This will help push heat indices back towards 100 degrees at the height of the afternoon.
And like Saturday, a few showers and thunderstorms will be possible, but some of you may get the day in dry once again.
Overall, it’s not too shabby of a summer weekend coming up.
And it’s tax-free weekend, too.
And that was Charleston Weather Daily for August 5, 2023.
I’m Jared Smith.
