Hello everyone, Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Sunday, July 30th, 2023.

Summertime heat and humidity returns for Sunday as the tropical low that’s affected our weather for the past couple days departs.

We’ll start the day in the mid-70s.

Partly cloudy skies and some downslope flow will allow temperatures to head towards the mid-90s in the afternoon.

Heat indices will run over 105 once more.

I hope you enjoyed the rest of it, because that’s it.

Back to the heat.

Shower and thunderstorm chances will tick up later in the afternoon to the evening hours.

As of this recording on Saturday evening, the convection-allowing models want to send a thunderstorm complex our way Sunday evening.

If that materializes, there could be a few storms with some strong wind gusts and frequent lightning.

Regardless of the source of any storms, whether they be sea breeze or a complex or air mass or however else, storm motions will be coastward.

So if the beach is in your plans, stay alert for the potential for thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours.

And remember, when thunder roars, go indoors.

If you can hear thunder, you can be struck by lightning.

And that was Charleston Weather Daily for July 30th, 2023.

I’m Jared Smith.
