Hello everyone, Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Sunday, June 25th, 2023.

Sunday’s forecast is a little more like what we are typically used to around here in late June, with highs topping out in the low 90s, with enough humidity to make it feel closer to the mid 90s under mostly sunny skies.

It looks like we’ll keep a lid on showers and thunderstorms for one more day, making for another good beach day.

With a UV index of 10, though, make sure you’re applying sunscreen regularly.

Attention will then turn to Monday as another cold front moves into the Carolinas.

The warm and unstable air mass ahead of the front should provide enough energy for some strong to even severe thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours.

The main concern will be damaging wind gusts and large hail, with the best probability of seeing a severe storm north and east of I-26.

Keep an eye out for forecast updates for Monday, and be thinking about fun podcasts to listen to while you’re delayed in traffic due to weather.

Taking a peek at the tropics, we bid adieu to Brett after 22 advisories as it has dissipated into an open wave in the Caribbean.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Cindy is likely around peak intensity, with maximum sustained winds of 60 mph as of the 5pm Saturday advisory, as it moves northwest at a little over 20mph across the central Atlantic.

It’s no threat to land areas, and is expected to open up into a wave by Tuesday as wind shear effectively shreds the storm’s circulation.

And that was Charleston Weather Daily for June 25th, 2023.
