Hello everyone, Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Sunday, June 11th, 2023.

After what ended up being a pretty nice Saturday by June standards in the Lowcountry, humidity returns to the forecast for Sunday as a warm front lifts through the area throughout the day.

We start the day in the mid-60s and warm into the upper 80s with heat indices right around 90 degrees under increasing cloud cover.

Showers and thunderstorms also return to the forecast for Sunday, mainly in the afternoon and evening hours.

Thunderstorms should generally fire inland and then head coastward as storm motions generally will go from west to east.

The main concern for any thunderstorms on Sunday will be the potential for locally heavy rain and lightning strikes.

Instability and shear aren’t the greatest, so organized severe weather isn’t a major concern, though you can never rule out a little gusty mischief around outflow boundary collisions.

All that said, it’s not going to rain all day at any one location, so just have a backup plan in case you’re outdoors, thunderstorms approach, bring it in, remember, when thunder roars, go indoors.

And that was Charleston Weather Daily for June 11, 2023.
