Hello everyone, Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Tuesday, June 6th, 2023.

Much more June-like weather returns to the area for Tuesday as high pressure slips offshore and winds go a little more southwesterly.

This will help bring in some warmer and a little more humid air into the area, driving temperatures to around 90 degrees in the afternoon away from the locally cooler coastline.

The sea breeze will start to push inland by mid-afternoon or so, and this will help ignite a few showers and thunderstorms.

A couple of these storms could be a little on the stronger side, with gusty winds and maybe even some hail.

There will be a risk for some minor coastal flooding with a late Tuesday evening high tide, but certainly nothing like we’ve seen over the past few days.

Even still, some saltwater will be possible on the usual troublesome roads around the 1058pm high tide.

And finally, wildfire smoke from Canada will continue to keep things looking a little hazy and help produce some interesting sunrises and sunsets into Tuesday and perhaps beyond.

Good news is, this smoke shouldn’t be dense enough to cause any air quality issues.
