Hello everyone, Jared Smith here with your Charleston weather forecast for Tuesday, May 30th, 2023.

Well we got back into the 80s on Memorial Day and it looks like we’re going to stay there.

Overall, Tuesday looks a click or two warmer with lows in the low 60s and highs in the mid 80s in the afternoon.

A stray shower or thunderstorm can’t be ruled out once again as the sea breeze makes its inland push later in the afternoon and early evening, but overall I expect much of us get Tuesday in rain-free.

Now as for the rest of the week, it’s largely copy and paste.

We’ll expect lows in the mid 60s to be followed by highs in the low to mid 80s each afternoon with a slight afternoon shower or thunderstorm chance.

Otherwise, partly cloudy skies will be the rule as we say goodbye to May and hello to June and the beginning of climatological summer.

It certainly won’t feel much like it at first.

Highs this week are forecast to stay a few degrees below normal.

Now granted, we’re still in the 80s, but still a little bit below normal.

And it looks like that trend continues into the weekend where we may see an uptick in shower and thunderstorm activity thanks to an upper low and a cold front approaching the area.

It’s not looking like the washout that Friday and Saturday were though, and I think we’ll be all ok with that.
