Rest of the work week: Lingering smoke gives way to a little more clouds and moisture
Wednesday could see more in the way of wildfire smoke before pattern changes start to disperse it a little bit more for Thursday and beyond as we start to see a cold front approach the area for the weekend. Warm temperatures in the 80s continue each afternoon until Sunday, when a sharp change in airmass will bring the area back to the 50s in the morning and highs only in the mid-70s.
Reminder: FEMA will be issuing a national Wireless Emergency Alerts test on Wednesday around 2:20 PM Eastern. This will activate your phone’s emergency alert function as if a tornado warning or other emergency alert was issued, but there are no weather-related concerns expected – it is purely a test.
