Friday and the weekend: Unsettled weather returns; watching Lee
Unsettled weather returns to the forecast for Friday and the weekend, with scattered storms expected to close the work week. Rain chances peak Saturday as a mid-level low meanders by before it weakens and lifts away as an open wave on Sunday. Temperatures will run in the low 90s Friday, but will head back into the mid-to-upper 80s for the weekend.
We continue to watch Lee, which is now a powerful Category 5 storm in the Atlantic. The good news is that it still does not pose a direct threat to the Lowcountry.
